The Easiest Solution to Fix Your Bad Day

The Beast
The Beast

Today started out fine. Until it went bad. It was too cold outside, a headache was brewing, my husband looked at me cross-eyed, and two of my boys were still not out of bed at 11am. Crap. Only 3 hours up and I had reached my tolerance. I grabbed my stuff and slammed the door on the way out.

Where was I headed? Anywhere but here. I just needed to get out before I started throwing things.

P1100446Have you had a day like that?

Please tell me I’m not alone.

I ended up at a city library. Just my luck, whiney kid here. On go the ear buds and I-tunes.

WOW! Big change in my mood.

Just like that.

I was lip syncing, bobbin’ my head and felt 34 times better.

Having a bad day? Crank the tunes. Let the music do its job – turn you from a beast into a beauty. Thank God for music, and for the amazing artists who can move us so deeply with their gifts. Here’s the song that picked up my sorry butt today.

Movements

I-wanna-soar-with-you

I-wanna-stand-true-No

Im-running-fast-and-free

I-wanna-float-with-you

I-wanna-stand-firm-When

I-wont-walk-away-wont

Much Better.
Much Better.

What a gorgeous picture of you at the end 🙂

I am glad that you left rather than said things you would regret. That is so easy to do when that beast rises.

Ruth 3:18 reminds me of the wisdom of your choice to pull away and be on your own “Stay still, my daughter, until you know how the matter turns out”.

Still yourself….quiet your soul before the One who adores you…everything (EVERYTHING) will fall into place.

Thank you Cynthia! What a perfect scripture reference. I appreciate you sharing it. Isn’t easy to hold our tongues, but it is always the wisest choice. I think I’m safe to go home now. Plus, I’m hungry!
